Your day to day
If you'd like to embrace a wider world of experiences and opportunities, we'd like to welcome you to the world's most international luxury hotel brand as the Resorts Manager of Finance & Business Support. A key role within the Resorts Finance team which partners with, and provides functional guidance to the Resorts Department Heads to ensure effective control of the Resorts assets and financial returns are maximised. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Business Support and partnering with the a wider team of three across the on island Finance Team, its also brings the opportunity to lead and develop to create a positive and productive work environment; building, motivating and upskilling them to ensure they are highly engaged, deliver results and partner with the business. Using your eye for detail and passion for accuracy you'll be responsible for all the standard things you'd expect; managing expenses, income, assets and liability of the Resort. Using your knowledge, you will also be required to execute forecasting, budgeting and month end processes, including monthly reporting preparation and analysis. You will also liaise where required with internal and external stakeholder to drive continued improvement in financial position. From seeking efficiencies in ways of working to using the data around the resorts overall performance to identify opportunities, this is a true strategic role with multiple stakeholders which will require you to both partner with and challenge them in order to see success. But what really makes the role exciting is the ongoing opportunity to partner with the Resort leadership team to drive and maintain high standards of guest satisfaction and employee engagement whilst championing our IHG ways of working. This role is an opportunity to truly have overall business impact.

What we need from you
As the ideal candidate you will have a Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Tourism, Commerce, Finance or Business Administration related field, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a finance lead role in a complex business environment. Demonstrated capability around managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities will be essential and previous exposure to such a role within a hotel or resort environment would be highly regarded. You will have demonstrated strong financial, analytical and business acumen partnered with proven ability to deliver on set targets. You will be a confident communicator across verbal and written platforms and have ability to work alongside a team and autonomously. Strategic thinking, the ability to explore new ways of working and an open mind around how we can drive the Resort forward with regards to efficiencies and innovative thinking to deliver unrivalled financial returns will be advantageous. You must also meet the legal requirements to work in Australia without restrictions and  be comfortable with an annual salary of $85,000 - $95,000 gross per year.
