About us
Under the general direction of the Finance and Business Support and within the limits of InterContinental Hotels Group policy and procedure and local requirements, assists in responsibility for all hotel accounting and financial controls. Promotes the desired work culture around the five core values of Trust, Integrity, Respect, One Team and Service of the InterContinental Hotels Group and the brand ethos.
Cooperates, coordinates and communicates within & with other departments in matters concerning purchasing, receiving, accounting, payments and other general queries.
Interacts with external auditors and bank officers if there is any necessity.

Your day to day
Your Day to Day

• Ensure timely Payment of accounts.
• Assist in the reconciliation of suppliers' accounts.
• Respond to and resolve accounts' queries.
• Collate suppliers' documentation for processing.
• Ensure all invoices have the appropriate signatures, documentation attached and approvals prior to processing.
• Record and process payments of goods and services.
• Maintain a proper filing system for accounts payable records.
• Maintain clear line of communication with outside companies to ensure timely and accurate supply of goods and services.
• Check arithmetic accuracy and invoices.
• Matches invoices with purchase orders, receiving reports and validates quantities and prices.
• Assist in reconciling the weekly purchase log.
• Prepare cheque run for approval on a monthly basis.
• Reconcile supplier statements with established records and report any discrepancies on regular basis
• Assist in maintaining the batch register and balance daily to general ledger.
• Assist in preparing the accruals journal at month end for regular suppliers and delivery dockets not paid.
• Controls prepaid accounts, updates posting as required and verify that balances are adequate.

• Strong experience in hospitality background. Relevant experience in financial leadership role or related professional area for more than 02 years
• Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required
• Flexible - with a sense of urgency and discipline.
• Highly responsible & reliable. Team player.
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
