Job Responsibilities of HR & Training Assistant

• Recruiting, selection and staffing.
• Visa processing and follow-up.
• Insurance processing and follow-up.
• Job posting and advertisement.
• Organizational departmental planning.
• Performance management and improvement systems.
• Organization development.
• Employment and compliance with regulatory concerns regarding employees.
• Employee onboarding, development, needs assessment, and training.
• Policy development and documentation.
• Employee relations.
• Company-wide committee facilitation.
• Company employee and community communication.
• Compensation and benefits administration.
• Employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health.
• Employee services and counselling.
• Introducing, developing and maintaining a training culture within the organization.
• Defining the order of service within the restaurants and training our teams to follow it accordingly.
• Ensuring that all statutory training requirements are complete.
• Contributing towards the employee development and retention strategy, through the development of the learning and development culture.
• Creating induction plans and orientation for new team members on all levels within the restaurant (management included). This includes, but not limited to, company handbook, product knowledge information and training plans.
• Ensuring that managers and employees (current and new) complete our company, food and drink knowledge tests and have passed to our company’s standard.
• Engaging in continuous training- identifying areas for improvement within the teams and act upon them accordingly.
• Ensuring that all training records are kept up to date, and regularly audited.
• Assisting the unit managers in delivering appraisals and regular performance reviews.
• Initiating, coordinating, executing and following-up on all training activities within all the restaurants.
• Monitoring the on-going training activities in every restaurant and if needed provide training support, like co-facilitating the course with their in-house trainers and/or providing a sense of direction in their training endeavours.
• Maintaining complete knowledge of all F&B services, outlets, services/features and hours of operation.
• Updating training materials to make them more relevant to the needs of the organization.
• Developing internal training competencies and establishing training structure for on-the-job training that will support career development and advancement of team members.
• Providing and supporting cross-training and professional development opportunities.
• Providing support and development to designated trainers on a regular basis.
• Providing Fire Safety Training, Person in Charge Training, First Aid Training, Basic Food Hygiene and other hygiene related trainings to our entire staff.
• Ensuring and providing ongoing feedback and follow-up on employee and management related challenges.
• Assisting in the creation, implementation and facilitation of a restaurant training plans and any other corporate learning initiatives.
• Creating and promoting a quality-focused approach to service within our restaurants.
• Continuously identifying new ways to improve quality within our restaurants.
• Reviewing and analysing guests’ feedbacks through monthly comments, reports and logbooks, and other internal audit records.
• Training our employees and managers on how they can achieve Guest Satisfaction Index targets.
• Training our employees and managers on the standard operating procedures (SOPs) of our organization.
• Attending meetings, outlets shift briefings and staff communication meetings to discuss training and quality updates. Ensuring that communication meeting minutes are filed accordingly.
• Working closely with the restaurant general managers to identify and grow high potential supervisors, restaurant managers, and general managers.
• Constantly monitoring the staff’s appearance, attitude and degree of professionalism to ensure their strict adherence to the company’s standards of quality service.
• Processing attendance and payroll.
