Hyatt Regency Sofia will mark the first Hyatt-branded hotel in Bulgaria and will add to Hyatt's growing footprint in Europe.

The hotel will be ideally located in the heart of the Bulgarian capital on Vasil Levski Square. Guests will be a short walking distance from the National Assembly, which houses the country's parliament, as well as many of Bulgaria's cultural institutions and tourist attractions, including the Monument to Vasil Levski, Cathedral Saint Alexandar Nevski, National Academy of Arts, SS. Cyril and Methodius National Library, and Sofia University.

Expected to open in Q4, 2019, Hyatt Regency Sofia will deliver on the contemporary expectations of guests and meeting planners. The 183-room hotel will feature an Italian style restaurant, a lobby lounge and market as well as a penthouse event space with unrivalled views of the city. The hotel will serve as the perfect venue offering 1,200 square meters of flexible meeting and event facilities. Fitness centre and spa will support well-being of the guests. About the role:

Reporting directly to Head Chef, the Stewarding Manager will be responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies, brand standards and local regulation whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations. The Stewarding Manager is responsible to manage the Stewarding Department as an efficient, and productive cost centre, by maintaining an organized and clean back-of-house area in Food and Beverage, and by providing all kitchens, outlets and banquets with clean operating equipment, based on expected business levels.


To ensure that service and standards are according to SOP's and adhered to
Work closely with the Event Services team to ensure appropriate set up for food and beverage functions
Work closely with Event Services team to ensure proper team member scheduling procedures are in place during event periods
Collaborate with Culinary and Bar teams to implement and maintain a regular and thorough cleanliness inspection program in the facility's kitchen and bars areas
Promote sustainability and work alongside other departmental leaders to reduce facility food waste, as well as to promote facility recycling programs
Develop and implement systems to ensure complete sanitation and cleanliness of facility dishware


Minimum 2 years experience as a Stewarding Manager or Assistant Manager in a hotel or similar large restaurant with exceptional standards
Strong communication, problem solving, employee relations and interpersonal skills
A sound knowledge of and proven experience in working with HACCP principles
Knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies, cleaning agents and chemicals
Developed computer skills particularly in the use of MS Office and e-mail
Be an engaged trainer, able to facilitate at all levels
A comprehensive knowledge of business needs, financial reporting and productivity requirements
Fluent Bulgaria language
