Day to Day
Contribute to the effectiveness of the Training and Development function in the Learning & Development Department of the hotel by conducting Training Needs Analysis, planning and implementing training programs and completing all administration and budget work associated with programs. Assist in maintaining databases connected with hotel colleagues and their development.

• Support and assist the planning and organization of management development programs
• Support the personal development plans by appropriate training interventions and initiatives
• Support the organization with the logistics associated with delivery of senior management development programs as well as other programs that meet PDP needs.
• Assist the director of L&D in producing training materials to support various programs
• Be responsible for the planning and implementation of the Training programs in accordance with the regional and hotel Training Calendar and in consultation with the L&D Manager
• Keep an updated training database to record all trainings happen in work place by assisting the L&D Director in maintaining talent database by efficient monitoring of training attendance and update as needed
• Prepare evaluation reports for the departmental trainers and provide feedback to the director of L&D
• Prepare training / Initial Job plans for new colleagues as directed by the L&D director
• Coordinate and organize training sessions for L&D director and ensure all training equipment are in place prior to any training session
• Fully responsible to create the internship plans and communicates them to departmental trainers as directed by the L&D director
• Help to build the IHG working culture by supporting our Winning Ways of Do the Right Thing, Show We Care, Aim Higher, Celebrate Difference and Work Better Together.
• Read, understand, and implement the relevant sections of the FLS Policy. Report all accidents, dangerous occurrences, or hazards, no matter how minor, to the supervisor or Heads of Department
• Participate in various initiatives of the hotel and the department such as special events and community activities.
• Perform other tasks as may be assigned by the L&D Director or management from time to time

• Able to handle confidential information appropriately.
• Able to work under stress to meet tight deadlines and handling multiple tasks.
• Self-motivated, independent and proactive
• Strong client orientation, including the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with client departments.
• Able to deliver assigned training sessions with confidence, ensuring that target audience are engaged by applying presentation skills and methodologies Qualifications

• Solid computer skills; proficiency in the use of office software products (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc)
• Excellent ability to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner in English (both oral and written). Arabic knowledge is a strong advantage.
• Experience in a customer service environment
• Working experience in the hotel industry or equivalent training experience preferred
