Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, Mont Kiara- is the first Hyatt House hotel in Malaysia and South East Asia. Located in Mont' Kiara, an affluent suburb located five kilometres from downtown Kuala Lumpur, the hotel features approximately 298 guestrooms, a three-meal restaurant, 4 meeting/Event spaces, a fitness centre, and a sky pool and SkyBar.

We are currently looking for an experienced Food and Beverage Manager to join us in this exciting journey.

This position reports to the hotel General Manager.

You will be a leader that thrives and excels in managing the divisions that have direct face to face daily interaction with our guests. Your priority will be to ensure the revenue and profitability of the hotel restaurant and bar and also ensure the high service standards of Hyatt are met at all times and ensure that we care for our guests so they can be at their best.

An individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and strong commercial sense, you will be confident and driven in your approach. You are business savvy and are known for your ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels, are detail orientated and must be able to constantly maintain high service standards and problem-solve with employees and guests. Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and be constantly hands on and ready to lend expertise within other departments of the hotel.

Key Qualifications and requirements:

Candidates that are able to demonstrate an entrepreneurial sense and commercially driven business sense are encouraged to apply. A proven financial track record is a must. Must show proven business results in also managing a bar that serves alcoholic beverages.

Demonstrate a passion and proven results for coaching and leading team members to achieve team success

Demonstrate an ability to use Management Reporting Systems in order to make fact based decisions that makes commercial sense and which will benefit the profitability and efficiency of the hotel

Candidates that have a proven track record in delivering revenue and profits for international standard restaurants, bar or hotel restaurants are encouraged to apply.

Possess a Degree or Diploma in either Tourism or Business or Hospitality

Advance working experience with POS systems will be required for this role, including the use of tools that aid in focusing on guest needs

A minimum of 4 years or more work experience in a senior role within an international restaurant, bar or an international chain hotel restaurant.

Fluent in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. The ability to converse in other languages will be an added advantage
