The Crowne Plaza Brand is returning to Adelaide! This is an exciting time to join this newly built full service upscale hotel, with an expected opening date in Q2, 2020. Comprising of 329 guest rooms with check-in on level 10, restaurant, bars, infinity pool and gymnasium. There is also a dedicated function centre with six versatile function rooms and kitchen. The owner will manage the building car park and ground floor retail spaces. The business mix will be varied with domestic & international leisure, Corporate & Government and MICE residential, day meetings and social events. At Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts our goal is to make business travel work. The Restaurant & Bar venues will described as Japanese Modernism reflecting Japans rich history with contemporary details, without being overtly traditional. The concept of high-quality comfort food, with a Japanese twist will flow from Restaurant to the Bar through to Room Service as well as the poolside Bar.Successful candidate are anticipated to commence mid February 2020.
Your day to day
Reporting to the Sous Chef, our Chef de Partie will be responsible for overseeing a section of the kitchen on shift, maintaining hygienic standards and practices, training more junior kitchen colleagues, preparation and presentation of a consistent food product which meets customer's expectations. The kitchen team will deliver innovative and guest focused menus, on seasonal rotation, across the hotels Restaurant & Bar, Crowne Meetings Operation, and Room Service. Join us in the pre-opening stage of the hotel as Chef de Partie and be part of our journey to create a winning team. You will strive for continued food excellence and financial success for the department. You have a genuine passion for food and creating exceptional cuisine. You will assist in creating a smooth kitchen operation that adheres to local health, safety and HACCP compliance.
What we need from you
The successful candidate will be an existing Chef de Partie or outstanding Demi Chef in a property with multiple Restaurant /Bar venues and Banqueting/Events spaces. You will hold Commercial Cookery qualifications and demonstrate exceptional teamwork skills as well as strong time management and attention to detail. You will have the flexibility to work various shifts on a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays Given the concept of the Restaurant, it would be advantageous for the candidate to have proven experience in Modern Asian & Modern Australia cuisine. You must hold the unlimited and unrestricted rights to work in Australia.
