Your day to day
JOB SUMMARYThe Sales Coordinatorwill be responsible for assisting in managing a defined number of accounts andassisting the Field Sales Executives/Managers in managing the hotel accountportfolio, with the aim to generate and maximise hotel revenue and marketshare. Key to this role is building relationships and developing networks withinthe accounts portfolio in order to increase revenue and conversion. FINANCIAL RETURNS• Support the Field sales Team in the validation of the potential of assigned accounts and create account plans as per the IHG hotels standard operating procedures• Assist in creating and implement marketing plans that drive measurable incremental revenue of the hotel.• Support the Field Sales Team in gathering information on current and prospective clients / contacts to generate incremental business• Maintain effective control of sales expenses• Produce monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyze current/potential market and sales trends, coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share and monitor performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plan. RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS• Ensure accurate and timely updating of an accurate record of all relevant activities in the provided Sales System (i.e. Delphi; Opera; etc.) for future reference and control purposes• Update Account and Contact profiles, attach Account plans, ensure 'live' information for action• Develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in the local community.• Perform other duties as assigned.
