InterContinental Dubai Marina is a Five Star luxury hotel in the heart of Dubai Marina with 328 rooms and residence suites, flexible event space and restaurants & bars. With over 30 languages and countries represented by the staff, the hotel weaves together an international five star presence.
Your day to day
• Overall responsibility of overseeing Finance & Accounting operation of the hotel under the guidance of the Director of Finance
• Prepare financial analysis of hotel operations including variance explanation and make recommendations to ensure the achievement of business goals & assist in the preparation of budgets & financial forecasts and reporting
• Develops and implements financial control procedures and systems; maintains documents for audits of hotel accounts & ensures compliance with government regulations, federal, state and local laws to independently comply with record retention requirements
• Assist with the distribution of forecast information as an up to date management tool for operating departments and assist with ensuring all accounts are reconciled on monthly basis & review and approve those reconciliations
• Assist in the management of day-to-day operations & assignments of accounting staff, planning & organizing work & scheduling/assigning work managing revenues received & dispersed including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, audit general ledger reporting & cash handling functions for the hotel
What we need from you
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent and 4+ years in hotel accounting or audit experience in a management role
• Being a Certified Accountant is an advantage
• Able to demonstrate competency and skills in analytics and financial analysis
