Your day to day
As Sales Director you'll develop and implement sales and marketing strategies for the hotel, create and implement tactical plans and ensure revenue goals are achieved. You'll also regularly sell hotel rooms, meeting rooms, and food and beverage to client contacts.
Serve as the key contact for the Meeting Planner and Catering Organiser. Ensure all requirements of the group and event are met. Create and provide best practices for convention and catering services, as well as food and beverage departments for meetings. Responsible for achieving the hotel catering budget.

This job requires ability to perform the following:

•Majority of time spent walking from meeting to meeting; department to department
•Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds

•Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
•Strong customer services skills. Certification as a CMD (completed through specific InterContinental CMD training). CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) certification strongly preferred. If not currently certified, candidate must begin the certification process upon assuming the position.
•Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances are utilized frequently.
•Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities are used often.
•May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
