Vida Emirates Hills is currently looking for Duty Manager with strong background in Front Office Operations. Great leadership skills and able to motivate and handle employees in his department. Basic salary is AED 4500 with company provided accommodation and transportation. This is a single status role (meaning, no family benefits and live out option).
 
Key Responsibilities:
 

- Understanding the company's objectives and standards, processes and plans.
- Understanding the values and culture of the company and how they influence what we do.
- Understand company loyalty program (U BY EMAAR), tiers, points and guest enrolment system.
- Active achievement of the customer expectations and performance targets of the department.
- Actions to "go the extra mile" and deliver exceptional customer service, not just the minimum acceptable.
- A warm and friendly approach to other team members and a positive sharing of workloads, skills and knowledge.
- Interest in customer comments and complaints and action on the feedback provided by team leaders.
- Awareness of costs and cost control [eg, control of waste], and awareness of budget targets for the department.
- Reports directly to and communicates with the Front Office Manager on all pertinent matters affecting guest service and hotel operations.
- Coaching of the team so they can see how to meet the short term and longer-range plans of the business.
- Support through daily management activities of the company's and brands values and culture.
- Implementation of the operational and service standards set out in the Corporate Standard; mediation of these standards to line managers.
- Close work with leaders in the team to support other team members and ensure they have a strong sense of direction.
- Management of the department's technical standards to ensure they comply with corporate policy and/or with industry practice.
- Close monitoring of costs and/or revenue generation to ensure business targets are achieved.
- Contribution to the management of measurements and targets, which assist with performance enhancement.
- Preparation of management reports, as required, and contribution to the annual planning process for the department.
- Active use of business data to motivate "performance" and identify gaps in performance and remedies.
- Close work with all team members reporting to you so that productivity remains high, and the department is efficient.
- Checking of standards achieved and identification of areas which standards are not being met.
- Care of company's assets and promotion of the security of personnel; corrective action where required.
- Encouragement of safe work, promotion of personal well-being and of environmental awareness.
- Development of associates through on-the-job training; input into recruitment, review and succession planning in your area.
- Controls all P.A.L’s during your duty and their work, design of work schedules and calculating working hours, assistance in drawing up the holiday schedule.
- Ensures comprehensive guest support by management of information and meetings with effective processing of tasks in the Lobby / Concierge area.
- Active development of a very strong "sales & promotions" culture within the team to maximize in-hotel sales, especially F&B.
- Coordination of all departments so that service levels remain high throughout the shift.
- Coordination of preparations so that service and delivery is effective in the morning.
- Guest relations and handling of all matters subject to elevation, especially those relating to guest health and safety or special requests.
- Supervision of property lock down, and running of standard checks and verifications.
- Ensure outstanding personal presentation and of the team.
- Managing Emergency Situations.
- Ensuring a rational and smooth work sequence at all times.
