The Westin Brisbane, W Brisbane, Brisbane Marriott and Four Points by Sheraton Brisbane are seeking an experienced Full Time Cluster IT Specialist to join a wonderful team! The successful candidate is to ensure existing hotel IT systems and infrastructure are being utilised to their optimum, as well as to further develop the hotel's business through the use of technology.
Reporting to the Cluster IT Manager, the Cluster IT Specialist will be directly responsible for the effective implementation, operation and support of maintenance, user access, user support and security of all technology hardware across four different properties in Brisbane.
Key Responsibilities
- IT Support/help desk duties (phone, email, remote access, physical visit)
- Network Device management, deployment and administration
- Service request logging and tracking.
- First point of contact for all enquiries.
- Problem management and Call escalation management.
- PC / Peripheral hardware / software error investigation / reporting
- Server / Network Service error investigation / reporting
- Print /Scanning administration and assistance
- PC / Peripheral hardware warranty / fault service calls
- Server / Network hardware warranty / fault service calls
- 3rd party Hardware / Software support liaison Incident administration
- User account deployment, changed and support
- End user Equipment deployment and administration
- Periodic / ad-hoc meetings with staff to discuss IT directions and solutions
- Availability for some out of office hours support and on call duties as needed to ensure business needs are continuously met
The Candidate Essential - Relevant university/tertiary qualification or equivalent in data networking / IT/ Computer studies
- Cisco CCNA/CCNP
- A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a customer focused IT Support/Network support role
- Demonstrated experience with level 2 support in person and via phone and email as well as logging, investigating, monitoring and resolution of incidents and requests
- Excellent knowledge of Desktop technical support, including current Microsoft Windows and Office versions
- Experience working with networking technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing/subnetting, Wi-Fi and Firewall technologies
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications - Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange/Exchange Online, Strong Active Directory skills, Windows Server management, group policies and file and print services
- Working knowledge of Virtualised Server Environments including VMWare
- Excellent technical diagnostics and resolution skills
- Pro-active approach to problem solving and delivering resolutions
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Pro-active approach to user interactions and resolutions
