The York Marriott Hotel is currently recruiting for a full time Leisure Supervisor to join the Leisure Team.

An immersive hotel experience awaits guests of York Marriott Hotel, offering a beautiful location steps away from the York Racecourse. Nestled on five acres of lush greenery and landscaped gardens, our hotel impresses with a wealth of 4-star amenities, including a modern fitness centre, an indoor pool, a well-maintained tennis court and a full-service spa. Guests dine with us in our Cast Iron Bar & Grill, which serves seasonally-inspired dishes crafted from local ingredients, we also 11 venue spaces for hire.

What you'll do

• Advise employees on general property information, in-house groups, policy changes, or other pertinent information.
• Answer questions about available services, general property information and amenities.
• Confirm guest first and last name and type of treatment scheduled prior to beginning treatment.
• Monitor and stick to time schedule throughout the day.
• Advise providers of last-minute changes or additions to schedule and resolve scheduling situations as needed.
• Promote and sell spa/salon services and retail products.
• Complete requisitions for additional products, supplies, or equipment.
• Inspect work areas and tools/equipment to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Notify Engineering of spa/salon maintenance and repair needs.
• Wipe down fitness center machines and remove towels, trash, and debris from fitness center area.
• Maintain an adequate supply of cups and water in recreation area.
• Clean fitness and recreation area restrooms and showers.
• Obtain, fold, and stack towels according to company procedures.
• Distribute lockers and towels to guests.
• Conduct inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment and inform supervisor/manager of low supply items.
• Provide information to guests about available recreation facilities and activities.
• Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
• Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility intended for the safety and welfare of guests and members.
• Provide assistance to injured guests until the arrival of emergency medical services.
• Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility.

This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs. Standing, sitting or walking for extended periods of time and ensuring a professional demeanor, clear communication and appearance in a clean uniform are also required.
