Dubai, UAE; March 18, 2012: The second Dubai Marina Street Festival, featuring international performers, will be hosted by Dubai Marina Mall from March 22 to 31, 2012.
This year’s ten-day Dubai Marina Street Festival offers three times the fun and festivities of last year’s festival. Based on the overwhelming response of last year’s Street Festival, there will be over 30 international artists taking part with a range of acts. The festival will feature more than 200 performances.
Taking place on The Promenade at Dubai Marina, the Dubai Marina Street Festival is free of charge and includes shows featuring hula hoops, juggling, unicycles, tight-rope walking and fire breathing, all undertaken by the world’s best street theatre artists.
Nasser Rafi, Chief Executive Officer, Emaar Malls Group, said: “The Dubai Marina Street Festival is a unique event for the entire family and features performances that are seldom seen elsewhere in the Middle East. The Street Festival is a relatively new concept to the region, and Dubai Marina Mall’s location makes it a perfect destination for the festival. It will further add to the appeal of the mall as the preferred destination for residents in Dubai Marina and the neighbouring areas.”
Breathtaking street performances, roaming artists and the wide array of music and comedy at the Festival will attract people of all ages and walks of life. The Dubai Marina Street Festival performances will begin on the weekdays at 5pm and on weekends from 2:30pm.
