Dubai-UAE: 17 March, 2011 – Fitness First, the world’s number one health and fitness club chain and part of the Landmark Group in the MENA region, today announced the third annual Ultimate X-Training Challenge will once again offer an opportunity to professionals and amateurs to vie for the ‘fittest’ athlete honour in Dubai through competing in a gruelling course of 12 well-known gym exercises.
To be held on 18 March near the Cinema Area at China Court in the Ibn Battuta Mall, Dubai, and supported by Gillette, the day-long Ultimate X-Training Challenge 2011 will test the physical and mental fortitude of all competitors in this ‘must-see sporting spectacle’.
Dubai’s record breaking 3-Pole adventurer Adrian Hayes will be participating in the challenge, aiming to recapture his crown this year and win the ‘Professional’ category for men. Claire Venn, who is no stranger to the event, will also be aiming to retain her title as Dubai’s fittest woman and win the ‘Professional’ category for women.
The funds raised from the Ultimate X-Training Challenge will be donated to ‘All as One’, the charity organisation that Fitness First has supported for more than five years. ‘All as One’ is dedicated to providing the orphaned and destitute children of Sierra Leone with a loving home, education, medical care and a chance for a better future.

“The Ultimate X-Training Challenge sets a new benchmark in our aggressive corporate responsibility calendar, which aims to support voluntary organisations for various humanitarian causes. We are confident of stepping up our involvement in more CR initiatives that will enrich our journey for the betterment of the community at large.”
