Dubai, United Arab Emirates, October 19, 2011 – Residents, shoppers and tourists visiting Deira City Centre will discover 55 more reasons to love – and shop at one of the city’s leading urban shopping malls. The ambitious expansion, which will eventually see 55 new shopping and dining options – or 33,000 square feet of additional retail space across the mall, also features extensive renovations to existing facilities offering visitors a more convenient and enhanced experience at Deira City Centre. With the majority of stores now open - and more continuing to unveil in the pipeline, Deira City Centre is celebrating ’55 new stores to love’, with a series of activities and events.

New shopping options reflect Deira City Centre’s urban fashion-focus with a mix of high street and on-trend casual brands such as Ted Baker, Tommy Hilfiger, Aeropostale, Fred Perry, American Eagle Outfitters and Marks & Spencer. Footwear choices are also given a boost with Aldo, Nine West, Charles & Keith, Vincci and Dockers. Deira City Centre has also opened
Toys ‘R’ Us and recently announced a 2,000 sqm onsite Fitness First facility, the first for Deira residents. In time for the upcoming Eid, Diwali and festive gift-giving periods, more than 15 specialty gold and jewellery stores have been reopened or added to Deira City Centre’s retail mix, lending a glittering variety of bespoke gift ideas for shoppers.
To celebrate the opening of our new stores, Deira City Centre is showcasing its newly expanded offerings with a series of fashion-influenced events and activities, and a chance to win a grand prize shopping spree. From October 27 – November 14, shoppers who spend a minimum of AED 300 at any of our fashion stores will be entered to win a shopping spree for AED 50,000.
Those who made their purchases at any of the new stores will be rewarded with an added treat –an exclusive chance to step into the heels of a model, strike a pose and have their photo taken for a personalised mock cover of Cosmopolitan magazine. The ‘Be A Cosmo Cover Star’ event will take place November 10-13, when Deira City Centre stage will be transformed into a fashion photography studio.
In addition to new stores, Deira City Centre’s redevelopment will improve accessibility and traffic flow within the mall. The new Bridge Link that will connect the mall directly to the Dubai Metro will be completed by late November this year, introducing 18 service-oriented retailers.
