Marrying the traditional elements of its local destination and chic modernity, the club interior features a treasure trove of ‘In the Know’ gems for guests to get connected and discover Malaysia’s cultural heritage. Brought to life by Florence Lambert Lee, Director of GadisManis Malaysia, guests will be inspired by oversized “TerimaKasih” hand painted portraits of three ladies representing the different races in Malaysia, “PuaKumbu” original piece dyed woven from Sarawak, “WayangKulit” wall etching a Malaysian tale through the traditional art and many other complementary pieces in the lounge.
With a substantial increase of seating capacity to 100 guests, the new luxurious lounge adds excitement to the Club InterContinental experience with a welcoming reception counter overlooking a glowing jellyfish aquarium, relaxing lounge, a large mezzanine floor with additional facilities of a boardroom for meetings, a secluded library corner for a bit of quiet reading and smoking area at the balcony looking out to Kuala Lumpur, the Garden City of Lights.
