Along the Grand Trunk Road Qureishi Brothers Guest Chefs’ Promotion at Indigo, Beach Rotana
Qureishi Brothers Guest Chefs’ Promotion
Date(s) : 22 – 26 May 2012
Venue : Indigo Restaurant, Beach Rotana
The Grand Trunk Road is one of South Asia's oldest and longest roads. For centuries, it has linked the eastern and western regions of the Indian subcontinent running from Bengal, across northern India, into Peshawar (Pakistan) and all the way up to Afghanistan. Today, it is still a major route; the axis of India's heavily populated north.
Come May, Indigo at Beach Rotana takes you on a journey along this legendary road, showcasing the vibrant food you will find along the great highway.
The Qureshi Brothers are back to present nostalgic favourites along this route such as the kebabs from Multan, sublime dhals from Punjab, finger lickin’ street food from Delhi and Benares to seductive desserts from Bengal.
The menu promises recipes that reflect the eating traditions of the real India. It will present a beautifully illustrated history of the road since its emergence as India's first route for traders.
The Qureshi Brothers’ next visit to Beach Rotana is kindly sponsored by Air India, India's national flag carrier.
