Balance Wellbeing 360 Promotes Young Specially-abled Artists
Artists’ Work from Mawaheb from Beautiful People on Display for Sale at Balance Wellness Club
Dubai-UAE: 18 June, 2012 – Art inspires, suspends limitations, and brings joy to the soul. For some budding artists with special needs in Dubai, art is a beacon of hope.
Balance Wellbeing 360 partnered with Mawaheb from Beautiful People, an art studio for young adults with special needs, to showcase the phenomenal talent of 16 member-artists. The initiative titled ‘Mawaheb – Talent that Balance Nurtures’, was inaugurated on 4 June by Neelesh Bhatnagar, Director, Oasis Centre, and will run up to 30 September, 2012.
Five of the works collectively created by the members and inspired by the elements – Water, Earth, Fire, Space and Air – have been selected for display at the Wellness Club. Furthermore, Balance Café is exhibiting two paintings of the young artists that depict fruits. In a bid to promote freedom of thought and action among those with special needs, visitors to the facility are being encouraged to contribute to the initiative by purchasing a painting on display.
Balance Café treated the youth to a hearty breakfast following the inauguration, while they were offered free yoga tutorials by instructors from the Balance Wellness Club.
The Mawaheb art studio is a dedicated centre for training and development of art-based and necessary life skills for young adults (from the age of 16 and above) with special needs. The centre provides a safe and inspiring environment for young artists seeking such opportunities.
Balance Wellbeing 360 is a unique wellness concept, offered by the Landmark Group, which brings together the aspects of nutrition, fitness and spa services under one roof. Located at the Oasis Centre on Sheikh Zayed Road, the concept is a luxurious one-stop haven from the busy lifestyle in Dubai.
