Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara Displays the Largest Pink Ribbon in Qatar
Initiative to support global breast cancer awareness month
Doha, Qatar, October 19th, 2015 - Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara, the luxury brand’s first resort in Qatar, developed by Al Rayyan Hospitality, displayed the largest pink ribbon in Qatar on the helipad located at the island with the length of 110 meters. The initiative highlights the resorts commitment to promoting the health and well-being of the local community and is in support of the international breast cancer awareness month.
To commemorate this special event, the resort invited members of the local media and their families along with team members and in-house guests to attend the launch of the ribbon and help move it to its new sea-shore location from the helipad. The island management also organised a host of fun activities to entertain the assembled guests including recreational games for children on the beach, face painting and other events that made for a fun afternoon.
Other key features launched to celebrate the special event include a pink buggy driving around the island, rose petals in the shape of the ribbon on the beds for the turn down service, pink themed dishes at the various dining outlets and pink ribbons for staff and associates team members. Additionally, guests visiting the resort are invited to participate in a social media competition to win one night stay in a premier room for two people by simply uploading their pictures of the pink ribbon using the hashtag #pinkdoha on the resorts social media platforms:
