The Ritz-Carlton DIFC serves up a French and Arabic inspired feast on day two of the food fest with spicy Thai creations in store from the chefs of Dusit Thani tomorrow
Dubai, UAE September 13, 2012 – Chef Ron Pietruszka, Executive Chef; Chef Philippe Bruneau, Chef de Cuisine; and Chef Guillaume Marchand, Executive Pastry Chef of Ritz-Carlton DIFC put on a fine spread of classic French favourites such as Salmon Rillette and Chocolate Mousse as well as modern twists on traditional Arabic flavours with dishes such as Zaatar Marinated Lamb with Crushed Lemon Potatoes and Beetroot Moutabel and Hummus yesterday, September 12th, on day two of ‘Treat’ – the BurJuman World Food Fest 2012.
The chefs took to the stage at the Teka Chef’s Theatre, with audience participants following their lead on specially created cooking islands equipped with Teka’s superior inbuilt cooking appliances and intelligent hob systems.
The highly anticipated masterclasses and cooking demonstrations by leading Dubai hotels continue tomorrow, September 14th, with chefs from Dusit Thani presenting popular Thai favourites as well as International Deserts to visitors looking to recreate the spicy and flavoursome cuisine of the South East Asian nation or those looking to cater to a future guest’s sweet tooth.
Visitors to Treat also took part in a series of what is proving to be one of the most popular interactive elements of the food fest – the ‘Guess The Ingredients’ competition. The competitions – which will continue until September 16th – lets visitors test their sense of smell and touch on exotic ingredients, with the winners taking home exciting prizes.
