DUBAI AUTODROME RECEIVES POSITIVE RESPONSE TO INAUGURAL EMIRATES SCHOOLS KARTING CHAMPIONSHIP
More than 300 enquiries received from students, teachers; entries still accepted ahead of Test & Welcome Day at Dubai Kartdrome
Dubai, UAE, 28 October, 2015: The first edition of the Emirates Schools Karting Championship (ESKC) is moving full steam ahead with several teams now entered and over 300 enquiries from interested students and teachers.
Teams are being encouraged to enter online at www.eskc.ae with no obligation other than gathering for the Test & Welcome Day at the Dubai Kartdrome on Saturday, 14 November 2015 to finalise their entry.
Entered teams who attend on the day, including drivers and crew, will partake in the ESKC familiarisation workshop where organisers will provide information on all aspects of the series, while fielding questions and queries from the participants.
Thereafter teams will be able to finalise registration and pay entry fees, upon which they will be entitled to a free test session to conclude proceedings on the day.
ESKC director David Bright explained, “The response to ESKC has been beyond our expectations and we have facilitated the process of officially entering teams through an online entry form on the website.
“At this point there is no obligation other than for teams (with their drivers and other members) to attend the Test & Welcome Day at the Kartdrome on Saturday, 14 November. Once they partake in the workshops they will have the opportunity to finalise and pay for their entry if they have not done so prior to the day.”

The concept is to have UAE schools enter three or four student drivers per team, which will also include a manger along with designated crew members, to compete in a series of one hour endurance races.
Rules, regulations and scoring based on the tried and tested Soda-World-Series which has been run at the Kartdrome for several years.
The Interschool championship is a team-based sport attracting Emirati and expatriate schools where the focus will be on teamwork, strategy, commitment, discipline and of course race craft. Eligible drivers must be at least 13 years old.
The series – which aims to establish itself as a bonafide extramural activity in UAE schools – will be run in the UAE winter months with the goal of having rounds at the Kartdrome, Al Ain Raceway, Al Forsan and RAK Track – and a season finale at the Kartdrome.
Final rules and regulations have been drafted to ensure a level playing field, an attractive concept to encourage schools to become involved and a format which embraces karting venues across the UAE. All information and contact details at: www.eskc.ae.
