With significant increase in participation from investors and more, the conference is indeed a great opportunity that facilitates networking and deal-making prospects for the hotel investment industry in the region.”
Additionally, AHIC 2013 presents this year an Exclusive Release by Visa Inc. Global Surveys on travel and destination trends, travel spend and preferences. Offering the views from the consumer eyes on the recent travel trends ‘GLOBAL TRAVEL TRENDS SURVEY 2012 – WHAT ARE CONSUMERS SAYING? Panel’ will be presented by Marcello Baricordi, Country Manager of UAE at Visa Inc., on Sunday 05 May at 16.15hrs.
Jonathan Worsley, Chairman of Bench Events commented, saying: “We are very delighted to welcome such high profile speakers to AHIC this year to share their insight and experience with all our participants. We see this as a live proof that AHIC continues to be the master piece of hotels conferences in the region, bringing together a true global viewpoint of world leaders and combining knowledge and with business.”
Another interesting idea exhibited at AHIC this year is AECOM’s new interactive software package “HINT”. Bringing together the expertise of our cost consultancy and economics teams, this unique computer-based tool makes it possible to see in seconds how an investment can be balanced against potential income. HINT is an abbreviation of Hotel Investment Tool. This tool will be demonstrated at AHIC at AECOM’s stand 3 in the gold sponsors’ areas.
Kevin Underwood, AECOM’s Vice President for the global leisure and culture business commented, saying: “Because it provides an instant glimpse of whether a project may be sound, we hoped that HINT would capture people’s imaginations and inspire confidence in the marketplace, but the response has exceeded all expectations and has been phenomenally positive.”
He continues: “The hotel industry has proved to be extremely resilient and agile during the global economic downturn, however investment has slowed. Understandably, there is greater caution than five or 10 years ago, but we know there are opportunities too. HINT incorporates reliable and recognized industry data to provide developers with an instant glimpse of what’s possible.”
