DUBAI FOODIES COUNTDOWN TO THE OPENING OF MARINA SOCIAL AT INTERCONTINENTAL DUBAI MARINA
Michelin-starred Chef Jason Atherton’s first restaurant in the Middle East opens on September 4th 2015 -Advance table bookings available for September 2015
25 August, 2015. Dubai, United Arab Emirates: The two week countdown for Marina Social and The Social Room’s grand opening at InterContinental Dubai Marina has started. Foodies across the city have been booking the first tables ahead of the eagerly anticipated September inauguration of Michelin-starred Chef Jason Atherton’s debut restaurant in the region.
Within the urban understated luxury of the recently opened InterContinental Dubai Marina, Marina Social and The Social Room will officially open to the public on Friday September 4, 2015. The restaurant and bar will cater to the city’s gourmet connoisseurs with Michelin-starred Chef Atherton’s famed deformalized dining style, under the leadership of Executive Chef Tristin Farmer and General Manager David Vindis.
The British-Mediterranean inspired menu reflects the creative flare Atherton’s Social restaurants are renowned for. The selection on offer will feature sharing tapas-style dishes and dishes specifically created for Dubai. Some of the restaurant’s culinary highlights will include the fresh sourdough flatbread – a product of extensive research on the best techniques and ingredients for crafting the perfect dough – and delicacies such as smoked lobster dressed with lemon butter sauce, foie gras and confit duck terrine with black pepper poached pears and crystalized walnuts, or Panzanella-style roasted halibut with spiced squid and grilled red peppers, followed by sweet treats like cinnamon doughnuts with apple filling with vanilla crème anglaise at the enticing dessert bar.

Featuring inviting urban interiors as well as a terrace with breath-taking views of the Dubai Marina, the restaurant and bar will showcase contemporary furniture and warm lighting sourced from around the world. Adding to the sophisticated cosmopolitan vibe of the city, The Social Room will entertain guests with relaxed beats coming from the bar’s open DJ booth, whilst at Marina Social, diners will witness the action behind the scenes through the open kitchen, with chefs plating up culinary masterpieces.
Marina Social and The Social Room will be open daily for drinks and dinner; from 6pm to 12am at Marina Social, and from 6pm to 2am at The Social Room. The first tables are available from Friday 4th September 2015 onwards.
