DUBAILAND Miracle Garden Expansion Announced at ATM
Additional phase planned to accommodate unprecedented visitor numbers to popular visitor attraction
Dubai, UAE, May 07, 2013: Following Miracle Garden’s successful opening this year in DUBAILAND, a Dubai Properties Group destination, Akar Landscaping & Agriculture Company has announced plans to commence work on phase two of the popular visitor attraction, with completion expected in October 2013. To date, the new eco-tourist attraction has welcomed more than 400,000 visitors, broadening the tourism potential in DUBAILAND, one of Dubai’s largest destinations.
In addition to the current variety of plant and flower species, the second phase of the unique 721,000 sq. ft Miracle Garden will include the largest vertical garden in the world, an Edible Plants Garden from which visitors can pick their own fruits and vegetables and a Butterfly Garden, made up of an impressive 10,000 live butterflies bred in the UAE for the first time.
The Butterfly Garden, set to be one of the biggest in the world, will be home to over 40 different species of butterfly. Even more impressive will be the breeding station planed for construction in Dubai which will raise the Miracle Garden’s very own butterfly species. Additional plans for the second phase include an indoor cut flower design inspired by Dubai’s iconic buildings, new children’s attractions, a Flower Hills and Mountains themed garden and a retail area where visitors can shop and dine. Also, a creatively decorated train will be installed to transport visitors around the garden.
Speaking about the expansion of this unique project; Engineer Abdel Nasser Y.
