Emirati Cuisine and Amazing Displays Captivate Visitors at BurJuman Junior Chef 2012
Young chefs from across the UAE serve up delicious Emirati cuisine and a photogenic selection of wedding cake, bread, fruit and vegetable displays
Dubai, UAE September 20, 2012 – The first two days of the BurJuman Junior Chef 2012 challenge saw plenty of action as chefs from some of the UAE’s leading hotels put on an exciting display of their cooking and presentation skills at ‘Treat’ – the BurJuman World Food Fest 2012.
From a selection of inspiring and innovative Emirati cuisine, chicken and sustainable fish dishes, as well as full three-course gourmet dinners, to towering 3-tier wedding cake displays and artistically created fruit and vegetable carvings, mall visitors were wowed by the action at the Teka Chef’s Theatre.
BurJuman Junior Chef 2012 is the concluding highlight of the Treat agenda, and the city’s biggest cook off between chefs will continue until September 22nd. The competition features a total of 300 participants from more than 40 leading UAE hotels. The next few days will see the chefs continue to battle it out in a series of culinary challenges in categories such as such as chicken dishes, tapas, canapes and finger food creation, cake decoration, desserts, petit four and praline displays.
