Dubai, United Arab Emirates – 24 February 2016: With the launch of the 3rd edition of Dubai Food Festival today (Thursday, 25 February), organisers have shared their top tips on where to go and who to see during the Festival’s dazzling opening weekend.
Hosted under the new ‘Celebrate Taste’ theme, the 2016 Festival will take off in grand style with the exciting newly launched Beach Canteen, the official festival hub, being right at the heart of the action to offer residents and visitors a memorable start to DFF 2016.
Foodies, families, and their friends will enjoy everything from glamorous gala dinners hosted by celebrity chefs and enticing deals across the city’s most loved fine dining restaurants, to Masterclasses, food trucks, family fun and fitness classes.
Now in its third year, the Dubai Food Festival is organised by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), to celebrate the city’s reputation as the culinary capital of the region.
With so much on offer at Dubai Food Festival’s opening weekend from 25 – 27 February, there is something for everyone to enjoy and experience.
‘Celebrate Taste’ during Dubai Food Festival 2016
Etisalat Beach Canteen, Kite Beach (25 February – 12 March)
Families, foodies, fitness fanatics and fashionistas are in for a treat when the revamped Etisalat Beach Canteen returns as the Festival’s free to attend, go-to destination that will serve as the Festival’s official hub and the main ticket booking platform of DFF 2016.
Alongside 15 delicious home-grown restaurant concepts, visitors will enjoy demonstrations from Dubai Restaurant Week’s chefs and a superhero-themed Food & Film Night on Friday 26, and demonstrations from Australian Master Chefs George Colambaris, Gary Mehigan, Manu Fieldel, Matt Moran and Shannon Bennett on Saturday 27. Dubai Restaurant Week (25 February – 5 March)
The inaugural Dubai Restaurant Week will see 30 of the city’s best fine dining restaurants offer a three-course set menu at the exceptional price of AED189 per person. Dubai Long Table presented by Dodge, Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard (26 February)

Dubai Food Festival’s ongoing Masterclass series by Al Islami kicks off with sessions and demonstrations from the stars of Australian MasterChef at Dubai's School of Culinary and Finishing Arts (SCAFA) on the Festival’s opening weekend. Fatafeat Kitchen, Galeries Lafayette Le Gourmet, Level 2, The Dubai Mall (26 and 27 February)
The first and only Arab TV channel in the Middle East that is dedicated to food will host its second annual Fatafeat Kitchen, a free-to-attend event that will offer viewers a unique chance to meet their favourite faces from Fatafeat and witness live cooking demonstrations.
