Fairmont Hotels CELEBRATE Ramadan Traditions
Range of Authentic Ramadan Experiences Available for Guests to Enjoy
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, July 19, 2012 – Fully embrace Ramadan traditions this season by sharing unique experiences with family and friends at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in the Middle East. Whether living in the Emirates and looking for a distinctive way to partake in Ramadan activities or travelling to a nearby holiday escape, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has a festive package designed to transport guests to a Ramadan experience of their very own.
Guests can enjoy the traditions of Iftar and Suhour at CuiScene at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi, with the option to choose between a classic Ramadan tent or indoor dining options. Patrons are invited to experience over 50 Iftar buffets showcasing international cuisines including Arabic, Asian and European – with specialised cuisines from the Middle East and North Africa, including Syrian, Lebanese, and Emirati fare. To experience Iftar or Sohour in true Bedouin style, dine inside the 375 square metre, air conditioned tent located adjacent to CuiScene with views of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. The Ramadan tent features live cooking stations, beautiful sunset views, and nightly musical entertainment. Iftar is served daily during the Holy Month of Ramadan from sunset until 8:00pm for AED 180 per person. Sohour is offered Saturday to Wednesday from 8:30pm to 1:00am, and Thursday and Friday 8:30pm to 2:00am with an à la carte menu.
For those in the mood for home-style cooking, Fairmont Dubai is carrying the family-theme of Ramadan into their restaurants. Mama Amne Kraike-Fakih, mother of four, will cook a selection of her traditional family dishes from her home village of Srifa in Lebanon for “A Taste of Home” Iftar at Spectrum on One. A buffet of over 30 delectable dishes ranging from hot and cold mezzah, grilled meats, and desserts are available for AED 165 per person nightly until 8:00pm. Mama Amne will add her personal touch to favourites including Kebbeh with milk and Molokhya – with dishes changing each night based on Mama Amne’s culinary repertoire. Each guest dining for Iftar at Spectrum on One this Ramadan will receive a chance to win an Umrah (religious pilgrimage) to the holy city of Makkah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a three-night stay at the Makkah Clock Royal Tower Hotel, a Fairmont Hotel.
Family and friends traveling outside of the UAE this Ramadan can experience Iftar accompanied by traditional shisha and music at Fairmont Heliopolis & Towers in Cairo, Egypt. Guests can enjoy Iftar and Sohour buffets at Meshmeshya or Aqua e Luce infused with oriental favourites and live music, or choose from a set menu at Lebanese restaurant Al Dabke. Unwind with friends at Egyptian Night and Pizza Bar with a wide selection of Shisha flavours and classic Egyptian dishes. The beautifully landscaped venue enhances the mood and spirit of Ramadan festivities.
Fairmont Bab Al Bahr and Fairmont Dubai are also offering exclusive Ramadan stay packages. From July 20th to August 19th, guests can check into Fairmont Bab Al Bahr in Abu Dubai and for AED 999 receive a one-night stay in a luxurious guest room, complimentary Iftar for two at CuiScene, and special Ramadan inspired turn down amenity. Fairmont Dubai has an exclusive offer in store for guests staying this Ramadan starting at AED 850; including one-night stay, complimentary Iftar for two at Spectrum on One, and Ramadan turn-down service.
