Fitness First Hosts Iftar Roadshow across Clubs in UAE
Initiative Aims to Help Members Remain Healthy during Ramadan
Dubai-UAE: 15 August, 2011 – Fitness First, the world’s number one health and fitness club chain and a part of the Landmark Group in the MENA region, is hosting an Iftar roadshow across Fitness First clubs in the UAE during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Designed to inspire the adoption of a healthy lifestyle throughout the month, the Iftar roadshow features a host of activities to encourage members to visit the club and follow light exercise routines prior to breaking their fast. The roadshow commenced on 1 August and will conclude on 29 August.
The Iftar roadshow serves a mezze buffet with tailor-made healthy menus from Rite Bite and fresh juices from Core and Barakat. Ramadan Wellness Packs are also distributed to existing and new members, providing easy-to-follow fitness and nutrition tips, sumptuous Ramadan recipes and a motivational DVD that members can additionally view on Fitness First YouTube channel.
The packs educate members on the importance of static exercise during Ramadan, while providing insight on appropriate work-out techniques while fasting. Members are also encouraged to meet with Fitness First’s team of experts for individual advice on the best ways to train during Ramadan.
As a complementary gesture, members are being treated to henna designs at the specially erected traditional tents in the members’ lounge at the clubs.
