(13 July) Just when you thought the team behind the coolest bistro in the city might have exhausted themselves with all the creative madness that went into cooking up its menu, out comes Fraiche Café & Bistro with more lip-smacking sensations. And if we must say so ourselves, it’s the bees knees!
“We don’t aim to be creative for the sake of being creative. There is such an exciting food revolution and turnover of ideas sweeping across eating establishments worldwide, which we want to bring to the table at Fraiche Café & Bistro, but with our own twist – our newest creation, Egg-Lovers Sandwich, was actually inspired by a food truck the team stumbled upon in LA. Food is all about experimentation and trying something new, and we enjoy sharing these discoveries with our customers,” comments Konstantin Chakhnov, Head Chef at Fraiche Café & Bistro.
Devised by Chef Konstantin, new additions to the already wholesome menu include the Maple Glazed Salmon, which is like no other as it’s imported all the way from the fjords of Norway to the plates at Fraiche Café & Bistro cooked to #PERFECTION, while hearty flavours shine through in the succulent Deep-water Caribbean Prawns.
If you're in a hurry and want to pass by for a quick, light meal, Fraiche Café & Bistro have got you covered with options that include the refreshing Kiwi & Couscous salad, ideal for the scorching Dubai heat or try the Shrimp & Mango salad – the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. Or, go halves with your dining companion on the Not another Club Sandwich with its steamed turkey loaf, fried egg and rosemary mayo that we just can’t get enough of!
Fried or scrambled? Uh-uh. These days, the cognoscenti are consuming their eggs poached. Savour Eggs Benedict that is served with Chef Konstantin’s latest creation, a light basil and lime hollandaise elixir, whilst sipping on a cup of black coffee that’s just TOO good to doctor with milk.
Don’t fear, Fraiche is still keeping some of their crowd pleasers, we insist the must-try Banana Bread Caramel French Toast, an addictive (not so) little dish that's made with home-made banana bread topped with banana, toasted walnuts and salted caramel. Another cheeky treat is the Buttermilk Pancakes, which comes with mixed berries and your choice of chocolate or traditional Canadian maple syrup. Wipe that drool off your face!
