Fulfill your culinary kneads at the Miele Gallery in Dubai
Miele stages first ‘Miele Cookery Experience’ sessions with mother’s day and bachelorette events with Galeries Lafayette and Suzanne Husseini
Miele, one of the world’s leading producers of premium home appliances, has held the first of its highly-anticipated programme of cookery sessions at the state-of-the-art Miele Gallery in Dubai.
Following the undoubted success and popularity of the Miele Cookery School at this year’s Taste of Dubai (ToD) festival, Dubai’s foodies will now have the chance to cook alongside the region’s gastronomic elite in a range of themed, interactive cooking sessions at the Miele Gallery in Sama Tower on Sheikh Zayed Road. And Miele will also be hosting the Miele cooking experiences globally as part of a new initiative.
Gaby Koudsi, managing director for Miele in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), said: “Originally we started running the cooking sessions at this year’s ToD, which proved to be a huge success with the public.
A range of themed cooking sessions can be booked by anyone willing to flour their rolling pin and knead their dough in the pursuit of excellent cuisine.
Chocolate making, Japanese cuisine, Middle Eastern cuisine, bachelorette and family-orientated cooking sessions are just some of the courses the emirate’s enthusiastic gourmands can sign-up for to develop their culinary repertoire.
Regardless of the type of session however, all participants will learn invaluable culinary tricks, tips, recipes and advice, while experiencing Miele’s cutting-edge kitchen technologies in the contemporary, open-plan space on one of the four cooking stations which have been specifically designed for the Miele experience.
The expert chefs running the various sessions coach the public step-by-step through the cooking methods of selected cuisines to reproduce some of their favourite dishes.
And at the end of an intense, but fun few hours of cooking the results are palpable – you can literally taste them!
“The beauty of these sessions is that people can pick and choose which cuisine they want to learn more about. Although the sessions are open to everyone, we will also be running courses aimed at specific demographics, such as the mother’s day session we ran in conjunction with Galeries Lafayette and the bachelorette event we recently hosted with celebrity master chef Suzanne Husseini.
In one of the first cooking courses at the Miele Gallery celebrity epicure Suzanne Husseini entertained a group of bachelorettes.
The ladies cooked shoulder-to-shoulder with Husseini, and produced one of her favourite three-course meals, and even tasted the results of what was undoubtedly an unforgettable experience.
“We have many other celebrity master chefs lined up for future events at the gallery, and for those that missed out on Suzanne Husseini’s session, she will be coming back on the 16th May from 10am to 1pm – so you better start booking now to get a place,” said Koudsi.
Foodies can also book a session with Suzanne Husseini on 20th May, 23rd May and 28th May.
At another ‘Miele Cookery Experience’ event, mums and kids mixed-it-up in the kitchen with Galeries Lafayette Head Chef Russell Impiazzi to celebrate mother’s day in style at the gallery.
The mums and their curious youngsters cooked up a three-course meal of gazpacho, coriander pesto ravioli and pasta and ice-cream – all of which was prepared from scratch under the expert guidance of Impiazzi.
Officially opened in September last year by Dr. Markus Miele, managing director and co-proprietor, Miele, the luxurious Miele Gallery showcases the brand’s wide-range of high-end, state-of-the-art appliances on the lower floor, and includes a mezzanine level perfectly furnished to host a number of events from product launching and demonstrations, a fully equipped, four hands on, cooking station for which can be booked for private cooking classes, fashion shows, art exhibitions, and training sessions to name but a few.
“Our Sheikh Zayed Road gallery, located in Sama Tower, has been specifically designed to showcase the full-range of Miele appliances. Our state-of-the-art demonstration kitchen is already proving to be a popular location, and with the cookery classes becoming regular fixtures as from May we are looking forward to showcasing our capacity to work in tandem with the creative energies this region offers,” said Koudsi.
