January, 2014 – One year after being appointed as General Manager of Intercontinental Geneve, Jurgen Baumhoff has transformed the City’s iconic hotel with the successful launch of the prestigious residences and a multi-million dollar property renovation whilst maintaining the exceptional standards for which the hotel has become known.

About Jurgen Baumhoff:
Taking his new role in Geneva after 11 months as Chief Operating Officer at Emaar Hospitality Group, Baumhoff previously held the position of General Manager at InterContinental Semiramis after a time as Regional General Manager for London at InterContinental Hotels Group. A professional of the luxury hospitality business, he has worked for over 40 years in various senior management roles with some of the world’s most renowned hotel chains, including Kempinski, Hyatt, Marriott, Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, The Address Hotels & Resorts, and the InterContinental Hotel Group across UK, Europe, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Egypt, and the GCC region.
Founder and CEO of One Step Beyond Worldwide, a strategic hospitality services boutique consulting for Australia, the Middle East & Africa, Baumhoff has also formerly held the position as CEO at International Hotels and Establishment in the Kingdom of Bahrain where he was responsible for asset management and owner representation for number of properties. Baumhoff also oversees the Crowne Plaza Hotels in Geneva and Zurich on behalf of the owner and operator. In addition to Baumhoff’s expertise in all hotel operational matters, he has worked for major Middle East based Hotel Owner’s & Developers in Qatar where he gained invaluable experience in hotel development.
