Hilton Abu Dhabi Discovering the Secret to Eternal Youth
The Grand Dame of Abu Dhabi has undergone a sensitive re-invention to appeal to a modern market without losing its much loved history and heritage.
ABU DHABI – August 29, 2016 – The Hilton Abu Dhabi is going through the final phase of a reinvention, which will see it relaunch its renowned restaurants, bars and live music venue over the course of the next three months.
Located in the heart of the capital’s world-renowned Corniche area, the much-loved hotel has become an institution for the people of Abu Dhabi since it became one of the first hotels to open its doors in the city in 1973.
Its outstanding bars and restaurants made it more than a hotel, turning it into a central hub for local and international guests to enjoy the best food, drink and entertainment the capital had to offer.
Now, the hotel is reinventing its Food & Beverage experiences with a detailed overhaul that will tempt the modern customer in the capital to taste the all-new Hilton Abu Dhabi experience.
The various dining experiences have been redesigned from top to bottom. From the new menus and layouts to the music, presentation and even the table tops – every single aspect has been scrutinised and shaped to offer the most authentic and enjoyable experience.
Recruiting experienced and talented senior managers from across the globe has also played a large part in the hotel’s rejuvenation strategy. New General Manager, Francisco Giles arrived in January this year with 30 years of international hospitality experience, the majority of which has been spent in the UAE, while Kevin Cavaco joined in May as Marketing & PR Director, arriving from the Sheraton Hotel in Lisbon, Portugal.
The hotel’s live music venue, Jazz Bar & Dining, uncovered its new line-up to customers when it opened this month, while award-winning Italian restaurant Bocca and sports bar Hemingway's revealed their all-new layout and menus earlier this year.
Stunning beachside venue Vasco’s is still to divulge its fresh new look and menu while another key element to the rejuvenation is the renovation of the Executive Lounge on the 10thfloor, which opened in August.
The new open layout of the lounge looks out over the Corniche to Marina Mall and the Arabian Gulf beyond it, offering guests the chance to balance business with leisure and enjoy a variety of complimentary food and drink while setting up their office for the day.
Jazz Bar & Dining, which plays various genres of music, became a hugely popular venue down the years and has a strong local following who have been flooding back through the door since it reopened.
The all new experience introduces a Steak and Seafood menu, longer opening hours until 3am and DNA – the new resident five-piece band and DJ who put on a non-stop show playing rock, funk, jazz and blues from 10pm - 2am, Monday to Saturday.
Mr Giles, who joined from the capital’s Park Rotana, said: “Hilton Abu Dhabi is an institution in the city and it is an honour to work here.
“The history and heritage of this hotel is one of the unique aspects that make it so popular with the local people as well as our international guests and it is our job to continuously evolve to meet with the needs and requirements of our modern customer, while ensuring we embrace our proud history.
“Guests who join us to experience the new offerings will find a fresh-looking hotel with a fabulous selection of restaurants, services and facilities, but they will also be constantly reminded of how iconic a building they are in with various stunning pictures and documents hanging on the wall that demonstrate just how far Abu Dhabi has come over the last 40 years.
“I walk past these images every day and I still find myself stopping to take a look, as it really is quite remarkable.”
