¡HOLA LA TABLITA!
Festive atmosphere and sensational comfort food comes to UAE
Dubai, UAE, 06 January 2016 – Culinary creativity and a convivial party atmosphere has arrived at Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights Hotel with the opening of La Tablita, a New Mexican inspired restaurant and bar concept. Located close to Downtown Dubai, the restaurant offers a gloriously authentic taste of Mexican street food with 16 variations of chilies and guacamole imported from Mexico.
Chef de Cuisine Daniel Hurtado takes his position at La Tablita as the master in the kitchen. He has gained much recognition over the years for adding his distinctive flair to classic Mexican cuisine. Guests can enjoy a vibrant and lively atmosphere similar to a street side Taqueria with the menu showcasing everyday Mexican dining including ‘The Taco Shop’ featuring 16 selections of tacos.
A knowledgeable team of associates from Mexico has been carefully selected by the restaurant’s manager, Isaac Adam and all of them share their enthusiasm and commitment to the concept. Their wonderfully measured enthusiasm, discussing ingredients and techniques elevates the La Tablita experience to an even higher level. Diners have much to choose from, savouring a broad selection of dishes including Quesadillas, Nachos and Fajitas. A must try for those with a sweet tooth is the Crepas con Cajeta (Crepes with goat milk, caramel, sour cream and ice cream) and, of course, the unavoidable Churros with chocolate sauce.
La Tablita’s interior is filled with artwork from up-and-coming local artists that reflect a modern Mexico and gives the venue an urban ‘street art’ flavour. Upon entry the eye is drawn to the chili counter that marks the entry to the main dining room where the skillful team adds a sense of human theatre to the visual feast. Contemporary notes are evident throughout the venue in beautifully crafted wooden furniture, whilst a nod to Mexican folklore and street culture is reflected in the diverse selection of artworks decorating the walls.
Topping the offering is La Tablita’s bar area, which stocks has a generous selection of beverages with a specific focus on tequila. The exuberant collection has been hand selected by the restaurant’s “Consejo Regulador del Tequila”, the first of his kind in Dubai, who is on hand to masterfully guide diners through this signature Mexican libation, encouraging a late finish. With a friendly, informal atmosphere and attentive service comes exquisite food at very competitive prices in which visitors can delight daily from 12pm – 3pm for lunch and 6pm – 12pm for dinner.
