Rocco Forte Hotels is pleased to announce the launch of Insiders, where well known personalities in each of our cities have hand picked their favourite spots across the cities, so that our guests can enjoy them like a true local.
Each Insider has picked their favourite tips as if they were planning their favourite day at leisure in their city, ranging from morning coffee spots, to galleries and shops, to some secret restaurants for the perfect post exploration dinner. Our Insiders range from world famous actors, to well respected authors, to the backstage masterminds of the cultural hubs of the city. This diverse selection of fascinating personalities means that the cities’ secret jewels are uncovered, giving guests staying in the Rocco Forte hotels the unique opportunity to experience some of the best loved treasured that only the real insiders know about.
Guests staying at Rocco Forte hotels will find a small stack of ten cards in their room, the gateway to the Insider’s favourite things to do. Each will have a map of the city in addition to information about the hotel, before opening up to three of the city’s most treasured locals and their most treasured places to eat, drink and visit. Guests will find three Insiders for each respective city and hotel, which combined creates a thirty page guide to ten of the most inspiring cities in Europe.
The Insiders have created a day full of favourites for guests to explore, giving them a sneak peak into the lifestyles of some of the most well known personalities in the city. Whether returning to the hotel for the third time, or arriving as a first time visitor, these tips and itineraries let guests mix each Insider’s tip and add them to their own schedules. Combined with the knowledge of the Concierge, guests will truly be able to feel the sense of the city through the Insiders’ tips.
For example, in London, Brown’s Hotel guests will get to dine in super model David Gandy’s favourite breakfast spot, and delve into his shopping recommendations on the streets of Mayfair afterwards. Guests may choose to see one of actor Hugh Bonneville’s theatrical recommendations after a delicious lunch in HIX Mayfair. They could then explore fashion designer Paul Smith’s museum musts, before slipping away to his most treasured restaurant for dinner.
Alternatively, at Hotel de Rome, Berlin, restaurant and bar legend Heinz Gindullis will spur on guests imagination with his preferred places for cocktails and late night snacks, whilst art and culture is covered by Professor Thomas Olbricht, whose knowledge of art hotspots in Berlin is near unbeatable. Those guests wishing to explore the shopping scene need look no further than Andreas Murkudis’ itinerary, which includes his inspiring shop full of the trendiest concepts and clothes.
