The Big Cheese arrives in the UAE this November
UAE, XX 2015 – Foodies with a fondness for cheese will be delighted to learn that acclaimed cheese expert and author Juliet Harbutt will be headlining jones the grocer’s Big Cheese with workshops in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi this month.
Best known for being one of the world’s leading authorities on cheese,Juliet Harbutthas been writing books detailing her knowledge and passion since 1998 with the release of the highly regarded, World Cheese Book.
The exclusive workshop events will take place in Dubai on Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 November and in Abu Dhabi on Thursday 19 November (details below). Participants at jones the grocer’s Cheese Appreciation Work shops will be welcomed with a beverage and a chance to mingle with Juliet and jones the grocer’s from agers before the tasting and pairing commences. The workshop includes pairing a selection of cheeses with hand-selected beverages. After the tasting; charcuterie, salads and antipasto will be served with house-baked bread.The Cheese Appreciation Workshop includes an automatic one-yearmembership of jones the grocer’s cheese club.
For those looking for a more informal meeting with Juliet she will be available to answer questions with guests and sign her latest book in Dubai, Al Manara, on Wednesday 18 November and in Abu Dhabi, Al Mamoura, Thursday 19 November.
The Big Cheese Menu is also on offer in the jones stores throughout November. Filled with a range of delicious dishes that will satisfy every cheesy craving a diner may have, including eggs baked with truffle brie and served with spinach and Portobello mushroom with a house baked olive oil ciabatta. A grilled Australian rib-eye drizzled with melted roquefort butter and served with a perfectly caramelised onion tart and root vegetables. Saffron and manchego risotto accompanied with a hot smoked salmon fillet and Swiss chard. Or the indulgent yet light goat's cheese panna cotta with raspberry jelly and topped off with a sprinkle of pistachio and white chocolate shavings.
