A culinary journey exploring 3 distinct gastronomic regions of Moroccan cuisine
Abu Dhabi, UAE– January, 2013. After the tremendous success of 2012, the award winning signature restaurant Agadir is embarking on a food journey exploring and delivering distinctly different regional cuisine from 3 Moroccan cities. Agadir, which has been open since December 2011, has accolades consisting of:

Sample cuisine from the most famous regions and be inspired by the rich culture of a people that truly love the diversity of flavours and multitude of recipes that Morocco has to offer. Saffron, a common ingredient in Moroccan cuisine and one that is currently valued higher than gold, will be combined with other foundational ingredients such as dates, prunes, apricots, Ras Al Hanout spice, argan oil etc with those specific to each region to provide a very diverse offering to the standard a la carte menu featured in Agadir.
The journey will run for the 3 months of February, March and April. Agadir will visit 3 gastronomic regions starting our journey in the international region of Tangier which has Portuguese and Spanish influences with a focus on Paellas. Followed by the famous region of Casablanca, famed for its diversity in seafood and traditional preparation of Couscous. Concluding the journey will be the mystical region of Marrakesh where the cuisine will follow a strong French influence and is most famous for the Tagine (slow cooking clay pot).
A retail area will be placed in Agadir offerings an opportunity for revelers to take home some authentic Moroccan goods. A live Oud player and Henna artist will be present in Agadir every night for guests to enjoy, along with ample varieties of exceptionally prepared shisha. Each month will see a new signature flavour introduced for guests to enjoy in the tranquil terrace of Agadir.

A Moroccan menu inspired by the mystery and allure of the Arabian Nights. Agadir blends Arabic and Mediterranean cooking styles, creating meals evoking flavours and fragrances of the Maghreb. Flickering lanterns illuminate the distinctive décor, providing an intimate ambiance to focus the senses. Sample fresh breads and traditional tagines, to char-grilled meats and authentic couscous. All dishes are skillfully crafted to embody the heart of Marrakesh with every mouthful. In the cooler months enjoy al fresco dining on the terrace with an extensive selection of Shisha. The menu boasts a comprehensive selection of vegetarian items.
