Just Falafel Announces Sponsorship of Young Rising Tennis Star Karim Najia
Food Brand to Launch First Initiative of Planned Sports Arm
Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Educational programmes and encouraging young talent was always at the centre of Just Falafel’s sponsorship commitment to the community. Aside from the ‘Help Us, Help You’ on-going educational initiative, Just Falafel, has today announced its involvement in sports – through the sponsorship of one lucky tennis champion-in-the-making, Karim Najia, the No.1 tennis player in the UAE for the ‘Under 14’ years of age category. The deal demonstrates the new sports and lifestyle direction for the Just Falafel brand, who are keen to apply their ‘healthy eating and healthy living’ philosophy to their portfolio.
Karim started playing tennis at the age of three and half with his father, who noticed his natural talent for the sport. Karim has since trained with Peter Burwash International, before moving to the Al Wasl club, where he remains under the tutorship of Head Coach Francois Danican. In the recent years Karim has won the Under 12 national title twice and he is currently leading the Under 14 table for 2011/12. As well as his training and competitions, Karim has also been fortunate enough to have played with some of the greats of the game; Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. The sponsorship deal will include financial support for all expenses including coaching tournament fees, travelling costs and equipment.
“We are delighted to be backing Karim Najia for the 2012 competitive season. We were keen to move into sports and feel that the values and aims of Karim and his family match those of Just Falafel perfectly. We are looking forward to working together with Karim during his forthcoming competitions, where we will be supporting him 100%,” said Just Falafel CEO Fadi Malas.
Tennis player Karim Najia commented, “I am incredibly grateful for the support of Just Falafel and their faith in me as I progress through this season. I am looking forward to our partnership over the year ahead and playing to the best of my ability.”
