Kempinski Hotel Ajman Stands for a Cleaner Environment
A clean-up event was created to spread awareness and promote the importance of protecting the local territory.
Ajman, May 30, 2015:- In order to create awareness and promote the importance of protecting the environment, Kempinski Hotel Ajman, located on the shore of the Arabian Gulf, organised a clean-up event.
The cleaning project brought together 50 colleagues of the staff, hotel management and employees from the Ajman Municipality & Planning Department to the newly opened Ajman Marina waterfront area. The Green Team of Kempinski Ajman collected more than 60 bags of garbage, which were filled up within a couple of hours of continuous teamwork.
Kai Schukowski, the hotel manager of Kempinski Hotel Ajman, said, “As the first five star hotel in Ajman, we pride ourselves in our surroundings, our home. As the Ajman Marina is one of the newly opened, popular local attractions and in order to keep it that way and to raise awareness to the public about preserving its pleasant atmosphere and surroundings, we are regularly doing such activities. There are many people who come here in the evening with their families for a walk after work or for an evening run. It is very depressing to see that the beauty of this place is damaged, by leaving large quantities of waste behind. Together as a team, our utmost aim is to raise the public awareness. Such local initiatives are the basic ways of how we can preserve our community here in Ajman. It is important to show that we care, because only together we can make a difference and for that great initiative, I am very thankful for my team for their commitment and to the municipality for giving their support to us,” said Schukowski.
