Kimpton® Hotels & Restaurants to Debut in the Fashion Capital of Paris
IHG sees potential for the brand and boutique segment in the Middle East region
Dubai, United Arab Emirates – 9 August 2016: InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), one of the world’s leading hotel companies, has announced plans to open the first Kimpton® hotel in the home of European fashion and design - Paris. Situated in one of the city’s most sought-after districts, near the famous Paris Opéra, the luxury hotel is set to open its doors in 2020.
In the Middle East, IHG is actively developing strategic partnerships to expand its regional footprint across markets including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah, Riyadh and Doha. IHG sees enormous potential for Kimpton® Hotels & Restaurants. The brand belongs to the boutique segment, which is clearly emerging as a fast growing segment in the industry globally.
The building will be fully transformed with Kimpton’s signature bold and playful design to feature 149 guestrooms including 27 suites, luxury spa and fitness facilities, and a state-of-the-art meeting space overlooking the high-end Parisian streets, buildings and rooftops.
Kimpton® Hotels & Restaurants, acquired by IHG in January 2015, is renowned for its innovative design and personal approach to guest service, using thoughtful perks and amenities, and a sense of delight, to make guests feel truly at home. It inspires with touches like yoga mats in every room, complimentary coffee and tea to start the day, a hosted evening Wine Hour, in-room fitness options and complimentary bikes to explore the local area. Kimpton’s award-winning destination restaurants and bars are loved locally, and provide guests with an authentic taste of the city.

The Kimpton Paris is the second Kimpton hotel to be signed in Europe, following shortly after the announcement that the brand was going global with the signing of a hotel in Amsterdam. There are currently 62 managed Kimpton hotels in the US (11,076 rooms) and a further 16 (3,128 rooms) in the pipeline*. Kimpton also runs 76 destination restaurants and bars.
