Landmark Group Art Olympiad concluded with every school emerging victorious
8 Winners take home fabulous gifts
Kuwait, 12 January 2011: Landmark Group awarded the artistic talents of eight students at the fourth Art Olympiad held this year. The event saw the participation of 130 students from 12 schools of repute across Kuwait. The atmosphere was abuzz with excitement as the names of winners were announced. The Art Olympiad which recognizes the outstanding creative talents of students got an overwhelming response.
The winners were selected by a special jury consisting of famous Kuwaiti artists Mr. Assad Bunashi and Mr. Ahmad Jowhar along with Mr. Mohammed Hafiz Koya, General Manager Pulse DDB and Mr. Mohammed Shokor, Creative Director Pulse DDB. The students were judged on the basis of Creativity, Workmanship, Overall impression and Relevance to the Theme. The 130 paintings were first shortlisted to 25 per category offering the judges to choose the 6 final winners from the best of the best. In addition 2 winners were selected for the “Most colorful” painting and the “Most imaginative” painting respectively.
This year’s competition themes which the students could select from were “My Dream”, “Nutritious and Healthy Meal”, “A person you love the most”, “Me at a Circus or beach or Desert”, “Interesting Face of my life”, “Importance of Traffic Signal”, “My Little Planet” and “Celebrations”. All themes brought out the unique talents and skills of the participants.

Each of the eight winners were awarded with exciting prizes sponsored by Future Communications Company (FCC). The winners received certificates and trophies in recognition of their participation and their schools were given a plaque of appreciation. All participants were gifted gift hampers by Nandos.
This initiative is a part of Landmark Group’s ongoing corporate social responsibility program which intends to provide a grooming platform to the future citizens of the world by helping them to improvise their flair and encourage their innovative ability through art. The participating schools were: Indian English Academy School, Dasman Model School, International British School, The English Academy, The New Kuwait Philippines International School, Kuwait Bilingual School, Fahaheel Al Watanieh Ind Pvt. Sch (DPS), Kuwait American School, The English School, Indian Educational School, Indian Community School, Khaitan, and Ajial Bilingual School.
