Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre shares Iftar with Dubai cab drivers
‘Iftar for Cabs’, an annual initiative by Starwood Hotels & Resorts
Dubai, UAE, May 18, 2016: Associates at Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre and Le Meridien Fairway celebrate the spirit of the Holy month of Ramadan by sharing their blessings with the community. 'Iftar for Cabs' is an initiative conceptualised by Starwood Hotels & Resorts in 2010 and has since become an annual tradition for many cab drivers throughout the Middle East. Last year, Starwood delivered over 3,000 Iftar packs to cab drivers across the region. This year, Starwood, including Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre and Le Meridien Fairway is extending the gesture for the 7th year in a row to its partner-drivers at Uber and is looking forward to reach-out to at least 200 cab drivers.
“We are pleased to be part of this initiative in its 7th consecutive year alongside our sister hotels in the true spirit of giving back to the community during this holy month. The hard work from fasting taxi drivers is notable especially during the summer”-said Shaun Parsons, General Manager at Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre.
The Iftar Packs will be distributed from the entrance of Great Ball Room at Le Meridien Dubai on Tuesday 21st June at 6pm.
