The awards took place at the new St. Regis Dubai on April 19 and were attended by hundreds of industry figures.
Speaking at the event, Hotel News ME editor, Sophia Soltani, said: “We received hundreds of nominations and the standard of the competition was incredibly tough, which to us demonstrates the strength of the industry across the Middle East at the moment.
“With this category we wanted to find a hotel General Manger who, while new to the role, has achieved strong results in all performance indicators, retained staff and has the ability to deal with complex situations under pressure.”
“To beat such stiff competition shows how highly regarded Kai is across the industry and on behalf of everybody here at BNC Publishing we extend our congratulations to him and his team.”
The awards were judged independently by a panel of industry experts recruited by Hotel News ME magazine.
