Maison Sucre boosts fight against Breast Cancer with Pink Ribbon Cupcakes
Part of the proceeds from pink ribbon cupcakes to benefit Brest Friends
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; 25 September 2012: Maison Sucre, a homegrown Abu Dhabi bakery, will be joining the global fight against breast cancer by offering special pink ribbon cupcakes during the entire month of October, part of the proceeds of which will benefit Brest Friends, a breast cancer support organisation in Dubai.
The annual Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an international health crusade held every October to promote awareness about the disease, including its cause, prevention and treatment. Maison Sucre, as part of its deep commitment to support worthy causes, regularly undertakes social initiatives which bring about positive impact to its community.
Brest Friends is a cancer support group founded by Dr. Houriya Kazim, UAE’s first female surgeon, and the founder and medical director of the Well Woman Clinic in Dubai. It provides psychological counseling and support to breast cancer patients, survivors and their families, as well as various educational programs to the community about breast cancer.
A fitting addition to its varied menu of desserts and confectionaries, the special pink ribbon cupcakes will be baked fresh daily and are available only for the whole of next month in Maison Sucre’s main outlet in Khalidiyah, Abu Dhabi and its counter inside Caboodle at the Dubai Mall. The cupcakes will come in chocolate and vanilla flavours, and will be sold at AED 14 each. Custom-made cupcakes will also be made available at AED 16 each. Customers can call or e-mail Maison Sucre in advance for bulk orders.
