Max’s Restaurant Opens Two New Outlets In The UAE
22 September 2015: Max’s Restaurant, the family-friendly Filipino restaurant, has announced plans to open two new restaurants this Autumn in Al Ghurair Centre, Deira and Dragon Mart, Dubai International City. Building on Max’s presence in the UAE, both restaurants look to cater to Filipinos looking for a taste of home as well as expats looking to try a new cuisine.
The two new restaurants will showcase Max’s heart-warming menu of Filipino classics, cosy interiors and friendly customer service. As a family-focused concept, the restaurants will also have Max’s signature features such as party rooms, a Corner bakery and memorabilia adorning the walls. The 4,740 sq. ft. Al Ghurair Centre restaurant will seat 152 guests and Max’s Dragon Mart will seat 100 customers in the 3459 sq. ft. restaurant. Both restaurants are designed to appeal to large groups celebrating special occasions, catch-ups with friends and intimate family meals.
Max’s Restaurants are famous for their unique Filipino dishes, which combine sweet and savoury flavours. Signature dishes include Max’s world famous Fried Chicken and other Filipino classics such as Beef Sisig, Sinigang na Tiyan ng Bangus and Buko Pandan. Max’s 4Sharing promotion, which is a specially designed monthly menu for four, priced at only 149 AED, is popular amongst families and friends looking for an inexpensive yet delicious feast.
Max’s Restaurants are a franchise concept brought to the GCC by Landmark Group. After the widespread success the brand has accomplished with their existing outlets in Dubai, Sharjah, Al Ain and Abu Dhabi, the two new launches will bring the total number of Max’s Restaurants in the UAE to six.
One of the contributing factors to Max’s expansion plan is Landmark Group’s strategy to stay faithful to Max’s Restaurant values. To create a menu full of authentic Max’s recipes, Landmark exclusively imports ingredients from the Philippines and has recruited Filipino staff (mostly from Max’s Philippines) to cook both their national cuisine and deliver the famous Max’s heart-warming service.
Max’s Business Manager at Landmark Group, Rakshak Puri said, “In Max’s, we see a lot of potential for international growth and look forward to opening these two new restaurants in the UAE, showcasing our commitment to bring a real taste of home to the Filipino community. We are also looking to develop our successful business model and open new restaurants in the GCC.”

About Max’s Restaurants:
Maximo Gimenez founded Max’s in 1945 in Quezon City, The Philippines. The café initially served chicken, steak and drinks. Soon, the Filipino public heard about the delicious chicken - tender, juicy and crispy - and they came in numbers. Max's Restaurant was born.
Over the years, Max's Restaurant's popularity grew and became known as "the house that fried chicken built" and a proud Filipino tradition.
Today Max's Restaurant is open in locations across the Philippines, America, Canada and the United Arab Emirates. In the Middle East, the Karama and Sharjah locations both opened in 2011. The Abu Dhabi outlet opened in 2012 and the Al Ain branch recently opened in 2015.
