McDonald’s serves more than 200,000 free Egg McMuffins across the Middle East on National Breakfast Day

Dubai, March 26, 2013 – McDonald’s today announced that more than 200,000 free Egg McMuffins were served to customers across 11 Middle East Markets on National Breakfast Day, which took place on March 18th, 2013. Dubbed the world’s biggest breakfast ever, National Breakfast Day saw more than 9,500 crew members in 325 McDonald’s restaurants across the Middle East serve hundreds of thousands of customers in just one morning.
National Breakfast Day marks the first time McDonald’s has initiated an international celebration of this scale; more than 20 other markets across Asia and Africa also participated in what is considered the brand’s most successful international breakfast event.

Egg McMuffins are an iconic handheld breakfast consisting of a fresh Grade A egg, chicken roll and a slice of melted cheese, held together by a freshly toasted English muffin.
