Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach takes a pivotal role in raising breast cancer awareness
Dubai, 13th October 2011 – Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach participated in one of the leading and most extensive breast cancer awareness programmes in the region, BurJuman's Safe and Sound Campaign, which has called on companies in the UAE to take a pivotal role in raising breast cancer awareness by proactively spreading the message 'Early Detection Helps Save Lives'.
The Safe and Sound campaign has reached over 20 million people in its 15 years of existence, has launched its special October calendar of events with a reach out to companies across the UAE to play their part in educating employees about the disease through informational initiatives and awareness drives aimed at dispelling existing taboos commonly associated with breast cancer - the leading cause of cancer deaths among women worldwide.
The first Safe and Sound 'Cakes for a Cause' campaign has been hosted by BurJuman Mall which was a bake sale featuring delicious sweet treats where Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach has contributed with 25% of proceeds donated to the campaign.
