New Carrefour Market Supermarket now open in Dubai Marina
Twentieth Carrefour Market to open in the UAE, second for Dubai Marina
Dubai, UAE, 23 April 2012: Residents living in Marina Silverine and the surrounding areas close to Marina Mall, Dubai Marina are now able to shop a little closer to home with the opening of the latest Carrefour Market supermarket in the UAE.
Carrefour, the world’s second largest retailer, operated in the region through a joint venture with Majid Al Futtaim Group, recently opened the store at Marina Silverine near the Dubai Marina Mall. The supermarket is the second Carrefour Market in the Dubai Marina, following the outlet at Marina Crown transformation from a Carrefour Express to the new-look Carrefour Market last year.
In the summer of 2011, Carrefour MAF began a rebranding and expansion programme with 17 Carrefour Express stores across the UAE becoming Carrefour Market supermarkets, highlighting the range of quality, freshness and a focus on low prices, convenience, a wider choice and improved customer service.
Franck Rouquet, Vice President Carrefour Supermarkets in the UAE, Qatar, Oman and Kuwait, said the opening of the Carrefour Market supermarket in Marina Silverine is part of Carrefour’s long-term drive to offer residents of Dubai convenience, quality and choice. “The Dubai Marina is continuing to expand and we see this as the ideal time to grow to develop our internationally-renowned brand further. With our focus on fresh, high-quality produce delivered daily to the supermarket shelves, we are able to provide those residents with a convenient, vale for money, daily or weekly shopping destination.”
Carrefour Market always aims to be the supermarket offering the cheapest prices in the neighborhood in which it operates, along with a variety of products adapted to the customer profile living in the area. Produce in-store at Carrefour Market centers on fresh, high-quality food products with bread baked in-store, butchers and fishmongers on hand, and daily deliveries straight to the supermarket shelves. Carrefour Market is looking to differentiate itself from other supermarkets in the region by being a practical, weekly or even daily shopping destination.
