General Manager, Mattheos Georgiou has a shard eye for detail combined with the approachable demeanor of an old friend. Director of Rooms, Friedrich Von Schoenfeldt leads as an exceptional Hotelier and personifies the meaning of a ‘home away from home’ experience. Noha Khatib, new Marketing Communications Manager has a firm background in social strategy and understands what it means to present the ‘wow’ factor.
Although a Greek national, Mattheos grew up in Germany, but travelled back to Greece frequently to ensure he stayed in contact with his roots. Symbolic of his drive for perfection, Mattheos has the ability to pinpoint a problem and come up with a tangible solution which clearly summarizes his tactical approach. With over two decades of international experience under his belt, Mattheos’s dedication to the Hyatt brand is unparalleled, having joined the brand at the age of eighteen and having never left. Mattheos joins Park Hyatt Dubai after his first General Manager assignment at Hyatt Regency Thessaloniki, from a transition prior to that at Park Hyatt Tokyo.
Director of Rooms, Friedrich’s strategic approach is embedded in his German roots, and strengthened along the way with an 18 month period spent in the army. A regimented approach has taken Friedrich around the world, from Four Seasons Berlin, New York, Doha, Mumbai and Los Angeles, he truly understands the enriching atmosphere Park Hyatt Dubai is renowned for. His warm nature, enthusiasm and genuine care for others, in line with his dedication to the industry are the outstanding qualities Friedrich has brought to the team. When a hands on approach is trickled down from management, it is inevitable this type of welcoming nature becomes the norm which the hotel lives by.
Marketing Communications Manager Noha Khatib is no newcomer to Dubai, having lived here for seven years and worked in communications with an emphasis on social and digital media. Originally Lebanese, Noha grew up in Saudi Arabia, and has great behavioral insights for a region dedicated to hosting their neighbor. Noha’s creative interests stem from a natural place, whether it is Art, Dance or Music, it is essential for her to channel her artistic instincts. As the leader of the hotels creative presence, Noha is pleased to have transitioned into a role where her combination of analytic, visual and PR can be fed, under one hub channeled through a single brand. “The first time I visited the property, I remember thinking how inspiring it would be to work here”, Noha says. Moving forward the new team is focused on developing the hotels unique selling points with emphasis on curated events and bespoke experiences.
