New Restaurant Olea Brings a Taste of Traditional Levantine Cuisine to Four Seasons Hotel Amman
Authentic flavours from the eastern Mediterranean region including Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Greece and Sinai come alive through a menu of home-style dishes
Amman, Jordan, 3 November 2013 - A major transformation has been in the making over the last few months at Four Seasons Hotel Amman. The Hotel’s international all-day restaurant Seasons has received a full make-over to be transformed into Olea Restaurant, which has officially opened its doors to the public, serving guests traditional and authentic Levantine cuisine.
Khalid Bseiso, Food & Beverage Director at Four Seasons Hotel Amman, said, “The Levant culture is traditionally marked with intense hospitality and generosity, and food is seen as a channel of affection. We look forward to mirroring those emotions at Olea, our new Levant cuisine restaurant that offers a culinary experience to evoke the comfort of one’s home, gathered around the family breakfast and lunch tables.”
Located on the lower lobby level of Four Seasons Hotel Amman, Olea sets a new standard of quality and excellence as an elegant buffet restaurant along with an a la carte menu, where guests can embark on a gastronomic journey of delicious specialties prepared according to traditional recipes.
The word "Levant” describes the eastern Mediterranean coastal region that today includes Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey and Greece and extends to Sinai. The tastes and flavours of the Levant culture come alive at Olea Restaurant where all dishes are made using only the freshest ingredients. Some of Olea’s signature dishes include a variety of Fattat, which are yoghurt-based dishes, Sawani for two, which include oven-baked beef, lamb, chicken and shrimp, as well as a home-made dish of the day like maftool, mansaf and freekeh.
The warm and sunny climate in the Levant region extends through the majority of the year, and Olea’s terrace dining mirrors that reality by offering an outdoor dining space where guests can enjoy their choice of shisha surrounded by a harvested herb garden.
Olea is open daily for breakfast from 6:00 to 11:00, and for lunch from 12:30 until 15:30, offering the perfect location for intimate dining. Olea is also open for brunch every Friday from 13:00-16:00.
